We’ve partnered with Era by DJ Zinhle to create a limited-edition watch, exclusive to Superbalist.
This watch represents a declaration against gender-based violence and stands as a badge of honour in support of the global #16DaysOfActivism campaign – taking place between 25 November and 10 December 2021. By purchasing the #TimeForChange watch, you will be raising awareness around the jarring statistics of violent crimes against women and children prevalent in our country.
NS IMPACT x ERA:
The watch will be available for purchase on Superbalist, with all proceeds of the watch going towards Green Door, a GBV Safe Haven for victims – which has been identified as a beneficiary for this campaign.
Located in Diepsloot, Johannesburg; Green Door offers a lifeline that includes shelter, counseling and support to victims of gender-based violence.
The NGO, founded and led by Brown Lekekela, has been aiding victims since 2013, when it was launched in conjunction with the country’s 16 Days of Activism.
NS IMPACT x ERA
Set in a classic Era watch casing, the #TimeForChange watch powerfully captures the important message and reaffirms that a woman is a rock in the popular Zulu saying “Wathint’ abafazi, wathint’ imbokodo”.
#TimeForChange will be a declaration that you “stand behind” this cause by either donating to our Green Door beneficiary directly or by purchasing one of our exclusive DJ Zinhle ERA x NS Impact Foundation watches.
All proceeds from this campaign will be donated to the Green Door Shelter, which we believe embodies the fight against gender based violence and inequality. By purchasing this watch, either through Superbalist during the 16 Days Of Activism campaign or on our site after the campaign, you are taking a stand and wearing a badge of honour in the fight against inequality and gender based violence.
The messaging around this is strongly based on a call to action to:
- Change how we canvas against these plights that have infested society for decades
- Proudly take a stand and be heard publicly against these injustices, especially during the pandemic
